This bracket is welded to the top of the pressure plate (
PLATE) and engages with the machined end of the threaded rod.
This part was riveted to the pressure plate on machines built prior to 1983. They are welded on all machines built from 1983 to present.
If for any reason this part has broken loose from a pressure plate, it can be re-welded or riveted to the pressure plate.
